Tidal Transit makes waves at the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards 2025
Maritime electrification specialist Tidal Transit has been awarded with the East Anglia Clean & Green Award for the Energy Innovation in recognition of its commitment to sustainability and clean energy solutions. The award highlights the team’s ongoing efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of offshore and coastal operations through groundbreaking projects to help the sector transition to net-zero emissions.
The company was commended for its groundbreaking diesel-to-electric CTV retrofit project, e-Ginny, which not only significantly reduces the carbon emissions of crew transfer, but also helps propel the circular economy potential of the sector. Tidal Transit, alongside key suppliers MJR Power & Automation, Artemis Technologies and Goodchild Marine Services, is setting a new standard for sustainable maritime operations, with electrification projects like e-Ginny offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to new electric vessel construction.
Leo Hambro, commercial director of Tidal Transit, commented: “The East of England is quickly becoming a major hub for clean energy innovation, and together with our fantastic network of partners and suppliers from across the maritime and offshore industries, we’re proud to be part of this exciting transition.”
“We’re delighted to have received this latest recognition for our work in maritime decarbonisation. Our mission is to transform offshore wind to be cleaner, safer and more sustainable, and our work on e-Ginny is just the beginning of what’s to come. Together, we can and truly move the needle towards a fossil-free, zero-emissions offshore wind industry – time to electrify everything!”
In addition to winning the award for Energy Innovation, Tidal Transit was also shortlisted for the Game Changer of the Year Award for its role in electrifying offshore wind operations. More information about e-Ginny, the world’s first diesel-to-electric CTV retrofit here.
